The number of PCB layers also depends on the pin density and signal layers. For example, a pin density of 1.0 requires 2 signal layers, and as the pin density decreases, the number of layers required will increase. If the pin density is 0.2 or less, a PCB with at least 10 layers is needed. The cover image above is a reference diagram for the number of PCB layers and pin density.
